RAF Viewer

RAF files contain all the information necessary to make an image as sharpening level, contrast and saturation settings, color temperature … and they are all stored in so called header file. Also RAF file contain technical characteristics of Fuji camera.

Compared to JPG and other image formats, RAF image file have much wider color range and have maximum proximity to the real picture. That means that RAF images represent exactly what the sensors of camera have detected, same as the human eyes detects things.

Compared to JPG files that have 8 bits of intensity information, RAF files, depending on camera model, have 12 to 14 bit images.
Because much better quality and more image information, RAF files are larger in size and it’s harder to transfer online or taking too much space on card or disk. Because of that many of photographers prefer to convert RAF files to other formats.

How to open a Raf file?

RAF Viewer is a free product that can be used to open, convert, resize and save RAF image files. Converting is available in JPEG, PNG, GIFF, TIFF and BMP image extensions and it provides maximum quality of converted images.

What Raf Viewer can do?

• »   Zoom In/Out - You can zoom in/out both with mouse and with slider control.
• »   Rotate image - Rotating image can be done 90 degrees clockwise or counter-clockwise, just with clicking on arrow toolbars.
• »   Pan image - Pan image with the mouse.
• »   Resize image - On the top toolbar you can see the original image size. The original size can be changed and the image can be resized with inserting new size parameters.
• »   Convert image - Opened RAF image can be converted/saved in other image format as JPEG(.jpg), Bitmap(.bmp),PNG(.png), GIF(.gif) and TIFF(.tiff).
